Director of Operations

Job duties

  1. Plan, direct, or coordinate the operations of Mozenda
  2. Supervise all recruitment, hiring, firing, and promotion decisions in the United States and the Albania branch (in collaboration with local and U.S.-based management)
  3. Coordinate functions between U.S.-based management and Albanian management for training, onboarding, and the maintenance of close relationships between the two offices
  4. Confer with the Mozenda management team and attend weekly integration meetings with other upper management to discuss issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problems
  5. Negotiate or approve contracts or agreements with suppliers, distributors, federal or state agencies, or other organizational entities
  6. Work with the local representative to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
  7. The point of contact for department heads and managers who are based in the United States and assign or delegate responsibilities to them
  8. Supervise Service Organization Control 2 (SOC 2) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO 27001) compliance reports
  9. Travel: Quarterly trips to the European location in Albania for business and client meetings

    Salary: Available upon request
    Schedule: Full time – 40 hours/week

Job requirements

  1. Experience in managing an organization, projects, employees and clients
  2. Experience and knowledge of the Albanian labor market, including knowledge of the United States and Albanian cultural and business norms
  3. Experience with the understanding of financial principles, concepts, and practices
  4. Experience as a proficient user of Mozenda Software
  5. Experience working with tools including: XPath, RegEx, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript coding language, Salesforce, JIRA, ASANA
  6. Experience supervising ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 Compliance Audit Reports

     

    Education Requirements:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related 

    Experience Requirements:
    5 years in job offered, Consultant, Project Development Manager, Analyst or closely related

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in Java or C++, and object-oriented design skills
  • Application architecture and design patterns
  • Experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance is preferred
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience in development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications
