A More Transparent Mozenda

In 2008, Mozenda brought to market the first-of-its-kind web scraping software and data extraction cloud, which used browser controls and a point-and-click user interface to capture text from websites. We believed that by providing business users a better alternative for collecting data from the web, we could facilitate better business intelligence. We were passionate about helping our customers succeed and wanted to build a product that customers enjoyed using. Seven years and over one hundred thousand sign-ups later, we are now asking ourselves, “Have we succeeded?”
Last December, we sent out a survey asking for your feedback on Mozenda. To all those who participated, we say thank you! We hear you. And we are making changes and improvements to better serve you.
The results of the survey were conclusive: Mozenda needed to be more transparent and communicative. Among the survey responses, many of you expressed a desire to receive more information about system updates, new features, software limitations, bug fixes, and our product road map. As we evaluated these responses, we realized we needed a platform for communicating with you in a clear and timely manner. Our new Mozenda Blog, combined with more informative emails and social media posts, and a new website dedicated to current system availability and performance, will deliver the type of communication you want.
Content for the blog will focus primarily on information that is useful and relevant, such as:
- Company updates from the CEO.
- Expert advice and agent building tips from our customer support team.
- Previews of new features, including detailed explanations and tutorials on how to get started using them.
- Engineering insights into enhancements and stability improvements, including how we solve the many technical challenges that web scraping presents.
- Industry use cases and helpful research ideas.
- Partner technology introductions.
Over the next few weeks, you can expect to see several blog posts introducing these topics. We hope you will take some time to read these posts and follow along as we improve the way we communicate with you.
